How do I overcome my lack of faith?

Soooooo, are any of you going YIKES! I don’t know if I can do all this. You are suffering from the common cold of being a believer, sometimes known as a lack of faith.

Psalm 9:10 Those who know Your name trust in You, for You, O LORD, have never abandoned anyone who searches for You .  

When G-d invites you to join Him in His work, He has a G-d-sized assignment for you. This is where many decide to bail out and not to follow Him. Then they wonder why they do not experience G-d’s presence and activity the way other believers do.

In the midst of this lack of faith, you must decide what you believe about G-d . What you decide at this point will determine whether you are going to be involved in something that only G-d can do, or go on your own way and miss what G-d has purposed for your life . This is not a one-time experience . It is a daily experience . How you live your life is a daily testimony of what you believe about G-d .

An encounter with G-d is G-d-sized and requires faith. True faith requires action and as an explanation, faith is believing that G-d is big enough to accomplish ALL missions that He begins.

Mark 10:27  Yeshua looked at them intently and said, "Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But not with G-d. Everything is possible with G-d."

When you come to a moment of truth when you must choose whether to obey G-d or not, you cannot obey Him unless you believe and trust Him. You cannot believe and trust Him unless you love Him. You cannot love Him unless you know Him.

Let’s contrast Deuteronomy 28:1,8  to  28:15,20

Deuteronomy 28:1,8 "If you fully obey the LORD your G-d by keeping all the commands I am giving you today, the LORD your G-d will exalt you above all the nations of the world. "The LORD will bless everything you do and will fill your storehouses with grain. The LORD your G-d will bless you in the land He is giving you.

Deuteronomy 28:15,20 "But if you refuse to listen to the LORD your G-d and do not obey all the commands and laws I am giving you today, all these curses will come and overwhelm you: "The LORD Himself will send against you curses, confusion, and disillusionment in everything you do, until at last you are completely destroyed for doing evil and forsaking Me .

Did you ever wonder why the world is not attracted to believers and to our G-d?  Why do you think?

We are not doing anything that only G-d could do .

To summarize… You too will be blessed when G-d does a G-d-sized work through you. You will come to know Him in a way that will bring rejoicing into your life. When others see G-d working this way through you, they will want to know how they too can experience G-d like you do. 

You need to begin orienting your life to the eternal purposes of G-d. It is time, right now, TODAY, to start making sure you are investing your life, time and resources into things that are lasting, not things that will rust and pass away.

Matthew 6:19-21 "Don't store up treasures here on earth, where they can be eaten by moths and get rusty, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where they will never become moth-eaten or rusty and where they will be safe from thieves. Wherever your treasure is, there your heart and thoughts will also be.
