The very good news is that the closer we draw to G-d, the more strength He gives us to resist satan.

James 4:5-8 What do you think the Scriptures mean when they say that the Ruach haKodesh, whom G-d has placed within us, jealously longs for us to be faithful? He gives us more and more strength to stand against such evil desires. As the Scriptures say, "G-d sets Himself against the proud, but He shows favor to the humble."  So humble yourselves before G-d. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.  Draw close to G-d, and G-d will draw close to you.

I Corinthians 10:13  But remember that the temptations that come into your life are no different from what others experience. And G-d is faithful. He will keep the temptation from becoming so strong that you can't stand up against it. When you are tempted, He will show you a way out so that you will not give in to it.

Let’s put this in different terms. If we stop eating we grow weak and eventually die. Likewise, if we stop feeding into satan’s temptations they too will grow weak and eventually die.

What do you think is the best way to stop from being tempted?

RUN!!! Remove yourself from the temptation. Read your Bible. Surround yourself with strong believers as often as possible. Establish an accountability group of three strong believers and meet regularly. Talk to G-d about your temptation and allow Him to help you through His Ruach haKodesh.

2 Timothy 2:22  Run from anything that stimulates youthful lust… Pursue faith and love and peace, and enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.

Philippians 4:8 …Fix your thoughts on what is true and honorable and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.
